Introducing (2 recipes by) Jesse Lane.

I discovered Jesse Lane a couple of months ago, when I was desperate for fun, easy, healthy sweets I could make at home.

As you know I’m a pretty good cook and have professionally served as an Ayurvedic cook in Europe for 3 years way back in my twenties.

I immediately loved Jesse, with her no-nonsense, young, fresh approach to healthy eating.

Here are 2 sweet treats of hers. One a salty caramel, totally addictive, haha, see video. The other a nice smoothie recipe, great especially if you have kids. For them you might experiment adding a touch of Stevia.

It’s wonderful if you can raise your kids on this kind of food from an early age. I did this with my son. And to this day he remembers it fondly.

Here’s a tasty vegan treat for you – Caution – addictive 😉

Chocolate Monkey Power Smoothie, fantastic for active people:

It contains:

  • Banana and coconut water which are both high in potassium and will balance your electrolyte levels
  • Kale which is packed with nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin A and antioxidants and it has anti-inflammatory properties
  • Chia seeds which provide lots of energy and are full of protein, omega 3 fatty acids, potassium, antioxidants and calcium
  • Magnesium packed raw cacao powder which will sooth sore muscles and the caffeine will provide a great energy boost.
  • Coconut oil which provides a big dose of healthy fat that your body can convert directly to energy and never stores as fat
  • Blood sugar balancing cinnamon
