My Wake Up Call, revisited

By Ulrike Selleck.

Not to get you down, but I have to share something with you:

I just found out that another friend, whom I’ve known for 35 years, has died. Just like that. Here one day, gone the next.

I remember the last time I saw her, we were both catching up and laughing and hugging each other good bye.

I had no idea it would be the last time we saw each other.

Here’s the thing:

I am often shy when it comes to sharing what I feel I have to offer, because I don’t want to come across as salesy or pushy. But this really woke me up.

I realized, I would never forgive myself if I suddenly died with everything I know still inside me. I would be heartbroken if my life and life experiences were not serving anyone but myself. And I would feel I chickened out when I was called to reach out and tell my story and teach my stuff. Just because I was afraid to offend someone.

So, here it is:

When I was little – and up ’til about 30, I was super shy, inward and insecure.

Then I got diagnosed with thyroid cancer, an imbalance of the throat.

Deepak Chopra told me: “The throat is the center of self expression, and you’re not fulfilling its role. You are not expressing yourself. If you want to heal yourself you have to speak up, learn to sing and express yourself.”

Ever since then I learned to sing, speak up, perform, and sing my heart out whenever I can, often daily, whether for myself or in public. Plus I teach whoever comes to me as a student, what I know.

Now, my mission is to teach you, and anyone who wants to hear it, the simple essence of what I learned. I don’t want you or anyone to experience what I went through.

Of course I’m aware you may not want to become an opera singer. You don’t have to. – I lived that for you. I took lessons at 40 and performed arias with orchestra 3 years later.

You probably enjoy going for a walk, or swim, or dance, even though you’re not an athlete, right? Same with singing. You can enjoy its benefits to your health and happiness in just a few minutes a day.

I’ve designed a powerful program with all the shortcuts to give you the benefits of training your body to be like that of an opera singer:

  • enjoy expressing yourself
  • own a body that’s full of prana, full of strength
  • feel free and empowered
  • enjoy a better immune system
  • have greater lung capacity

No matter what curve balls Nature throws you, and we all know they do come, you will have a means of getting into your body, into your own power and feeling free.

In this letter you have my (renewed) commitment to finish the online course and get it out there asap. I am aiming for end of April, although sooner would be nice.

Please lmk if you want to be on my VIP list to be first in line to hear more about it.

I never want to hear another wonderful friend having left my life, and there was nothing I did to help. I wouldn’t be able to live with that.

I love you and look forward to sharing with you more soon.

Love and Light,

~ Ulrike
