Why You Need to Sing ASAP!

By Ulrike Selleck.

Do you sometimes feel depressed or have low energy?

If your answer is “Yes”, and you don’t sing regularly, with your full body, then I have news for you:

The average person uses only 20% of her voice in daily life. TWENTY PERCENT!

No wonder so many people are depressed, have low energy, and feel unfulfilled!

Why would you use only 20% of a precious faculty given to us for FREE by Nature?

You may say, “Well, I’m not a singer, so why should I sing?”

Want to know how crazy this is?

That’s like saying: “I’m okay just hopping around on one leg all my life, not using my full body. After all, I’m not an athlete.”

Or you own a house, but you choose to only live in the dining room. Never even considering going into your kitchen, living room, bathroom or bedroom.

Crazy, right?

Yet this is how many of us feel about using our voice.

Often in childhood we were told to “be quiet”, “use your inside voice”, “you sing off key”, “you can’t carry a tune”, “your voice isn’t very pretty”.

So we shut up. For good.

Nooo!… You Must Never Shut Yourself Up!

I’m living proof that shutting yourself up is Not what you should be doing.

At age 31, after a life of being a good, quiet girl, I found myself standing in Deepak Chopra’s office, hearing him say these fateful words: “You have thyroid cancer. This is an imbalance of the throat chakra, your center of self-expression. In order to heal yourself, you have to sing, speak up and express yourself.”

I don’t wish this wake up call on you or anyone!

Over the past 15 years I’ve have been singing, performing, and teaching hundreds of  women, non-singers and singers alike how to express themselves, for their health, success, and happiness.

So, no matter your past reasons for not using your full voice:

  • It’s time for you to speak up. To speak out. To sing out!
  • It’s time for you to reclaim your own full voice. Not just your pleasing speaking voice, but the roar, the squeal, the thunder and the angelic parts of it.
  • It’s time for you to express who you are. Fully.

You’re entitled to your full body, your full instrument, to 100% of your voice.

So you may say: “I can’t sing on key. I never learned. Singing is not my thing. I don’t have time.”

You don’t need to spend years training in opera voice. (I’ve done that for you.) 🙂

You just need to know how to use your voice fully in your daily life. There are 7 key qualities your voice is able to express. You got all those, you’re good to go!

Your health and energy will improve, your happiness, and yes, even your relationships.

The good news? Once you learned those, you’ll be able to use your voice fully in 7 seconds, any time you need or want to, for the rest of your life!

(Side note: Stay tuned for my simple, effective, 7 step online course. Women all over the world have learned how to get the benefits of having a singer’s body in just a few minutes. Soon you can too!)

In the meantime, watch the free video training on this blog: “How to Love Yourself”. It”ll make you feel good!

And please, for your health and happiness’ sake: Keep singing!
